What's this plug? (87-91)

Trying to figure out what this is. It's unplugged and I'd like to plug it back in so the wires aren't dangling. It's located under the dash on the driver's side above the transmission hump. Kinda behind the ashtray. My friend said it might be part of the factory radio? There's an aftermarket JVC headunit installed now. It's the electrical unit in the back with nothing plugged into it. The truck is a 91 F350 Dually with the 7.3 Diesel.

I'm not as familiar with the 87-91's but I think the gold box in back may be the RABS module.. (rear anti-lock) I "think" the plugs in front of it is for the door chime...

Really? Weird. I'm used to vehicles having that in the engine bay. I guess I'll leave it unplugged then. I've always had abs cause me more headache than help. Besides, the way this truck is I'm willing to bet there's a reason they unplugged it!

Thank you!

That diagram had me all backwards until I realized it was looking at the dash from the firewall.

the ABS on these trucks was marginal at best even when new.
the first thing done to all 6 of mine was disabling the abs because it just did not work.

I do the same. RABS is dangerous at worst and scary at best IMO.

it was the dealer that disabled the first one because they could not get the brakes to work properly. they either put you into the windshield, or you ran red lights.
so by 500 miles they disabled it. then it was disabled before i even picked the other trucks up.
