Ordered mine at the start of the model year. It took 8 weeks to be built and an additional 4 weeks to be shipped.

8 weeks is about the average waiting time from order to delivery.

Sorry to hear about the saleslady not following through but that`s not uncommon for a salesperson to go AWOL after a sale. All will change once she sees you upon pickup but it doesn`t, just don`t deal with her anymore.

With regards to your vehicle already being delivered to the dealership, why don`t you just go by the dealership this weekend and walk the lot. I`m sure if it is there you`ll be able to find it.

You have the VIN# and you also know the color and how you spec`d it.

I'm not going to let the saleslady bring down the fact that I am buying a NEW cool truck!! So, she is really irrelevant anymore. LOL!! I'm getting used to the younger generations...having a POOR work ethic and careless about customer service.

I'd share her name with any folks interested in buying in the ABQ area, just so you do not get stuck with her. Just PM me.

The truck is on the lot and delivered at the dealership. I got calls and txt messages all day yesterday. They contact me over and over...but I am out of town for a Mother's Day gathering, so the truck will have to wait until mid-week.

I'm excited!! Looking forward to taking delivery!!

Playing around on the "build your own" page at Ford. Why can't you get an XLT w/302A package AND 3.73 gears? Or, why can't you get a Lariat with two -tone paint and 3.73 gears? I don't get it. The only reason I would think about going with the 3.73 gears is that by the time I put the larger tires on, it will be roughly back somewhere in the 3.55 or so range. But I just can't see why one can't get that gear ratio with/without certain options. The rear end has nothing to do with paint or accessories......

And I noticed after I configured it, the website doesn't show me a price.... What gives?

can't get a 302a with max payload either. Pissed me off because that was what i wanted and had to settle for just max tow.

And I tried to add the Kicker Sub and it wanted to change the wheels and other stuff..... Ford needs to get their act together...

Doesn't really make any sense to try to build your own if they are going to tell you what you can and can't have.....

my guess is that max payload/3.73 trucks are built at a different plant than non x01a trucks. seems you can only get those options with the base models.

There isn't that much difference between a 373 & a 355. When I was looking at 2016's I wanted the 373. There are people on this site towing with 331 and are happy with the performance.

That's not really the point. I was looking at a two tone Lariat and when I clicked on the 373 gears it said I had to delete the two tone paint. Why? It makes no sense. And why does one have to select a Lariat over the XLT to get the higher end stereo? The way they have the options setup, one might as well just select a truck off the lot if I can't configure it exactly how I want it.

Ford is not Burger King so you can`t have it your way.

The packages, configuration, and options are set up in a way that Ford can make the most profit........nothing more, nothing less.

Example of building a F150 the way you`d like it.....How about a Limited with the 302 Package, regular cab, 8 foot bed, max tow package, 2WD, center console delete, 18 inch Lariat wheels, with the NA V6 engine.

Tracking my truck online, it jumped into "Production" on Thursday. Now when I click on the "Window Sticker", nothing happens. It'll just load continuously in Chrome and just bring up a blank tab in Internet Explorer. Hmmm....

Ordered 4/25, jumped to "In Production" 5/18, Mfg Date (per salesman) is 5/25, Est Delivery on 6/12. Hopefully it sticks close to this date because I'll be ordering my cap very soon so I can get that installed very soon after picking up the truck.

It actually only spends a day or two in production. If you're using COTUS, it will sometimes work, and sometimes not. It may take them a day or two to move it into "in transit". It can sit on the loading dock for days sometimes.

Mine has been doing this, too. Do a Google search for "Ford Window Sticker" and follow one of the first links that will come up. Put your VIN in one of those sites and it should come up for download. I have never been able to get my sticker to work in COTUS and my truck is now out of "Production."

Thanks rts...that worked! Truck is still showing in Production on COTUS, but it's going to kill me knowing it's done and waiting to hitch a ride on the train. I wonder if they'd go out to Dearborn and pick it up. Ha!
