Stumbling along

Hi all,

Not sure where to ask this, but I have an 02 Lincoln Blackwood with the 5.4 V8.

I recently replaced the fuel pump (no small task for a DIY guy) and since I have noticed a stumble when I am going between 50-55 MPH. Above or below I don't notice anything. The Check Engine light also come on the other day during a drive.

Any help you all can be is much appreciated.

It would be best to get the DTC read somewhere ( if you don't have your own code reader) and post what codes are tripped. It will go a long way helping you out. From the sounds of it you have a slight miss fire on a cylinder or two.

After you changed the fuel pump did you also change the fuel filter?

It seems you may not have a code reader.
You can order a basic code reader on ebay for $6 - OBDII Scanner Code Reader CAN OxGord MS300.
I have one of these in each car.
