So I have a 2006 Ford Expedition 4x4 and I'm getting a high and low 4x4 light flashing as it tries to engage into 2nd gear.As the lights flash the vehicle goes into neutral and takes a while to get back into gear. If I push the o/d button my problem goes away and i have no issues. I replaced the over drive servo both internal bands and torque converter and still have the same issue. Upon opening the transmission for the 2nd time I see no burned material or anything out of the ordinary. If someone could help me that would be great!

 

That's not an internal transmission hydraulic problem, that's an electrical or electronic problem.

Did you do all of that work due to this symptom or for some other reason?

Which transmission is installed, the 4-speed or the 6-speed?

 

Yeah I dropped it do to that issue I wasn't getting any trouble codes with my solus edge from snap on. I belive it's a 4r75w

 

I'd be very suspicious of the PCM and its control of the transfer case.
