Just to make sure, when replacing the glow plug connectors on the wire harness, good 14-16 gauge butt connectors and what size heat shrink should I use?

Is there a Harbor Freight anywhere near you? I usually just buy a pack or two of their marine grade heat shrink assortment kits. Reminds me I need more. I get the Marine grade because it has a sealant in it that glues it together to seal out moisture.
As for the connectors I can't exactly say. I modified a 6.0 harness I got off eBay for mine.
Thanks chillman. The closest one to me is over 60 miles away, but I can order them. I'm going to check around. One of the ends on my truck has broken off and the others have deteriorated real bad. I replaced the glow plugs a good while back and the ends went back on, but the boots just cracked all up.
They have worked great so far and are designed with heat shrink, so they seal around the wires. For less than $15 delivered it is a good deal.
I want to add a turbo in the future, and doing so requires me to relocate the GP controller and rebuild the harness. When I do that I will probably go with the 6.0L harness you showed above since I will have to fully pull the it anyway.
Yessir! The wires are individual so you'll need to tie them all together. Each side (4 for driver, 4 for pass) should be crimped and soldered into a 3/8" ring terminal. Mine was a little snug on a couple plugs so I pulled off the plastic "tee" above the actual connector to give a little more slack. You'll see what I mean if you get it. If not let me know and I can explain it better.
