How do I get the UVC harness off the glow plugs?

Thanks to the help of this forum, I found out that my UVC harness was coming off and causing my truck to run like poo.

I put one of the retainer clips on it, and decided that I should probably do the other side as well.

Unfortunately, the harness snapped the second I started to take it off.

I'm going to buy a new one tomorrow, but am not sure how to get the old one off the glow plugs.

How do I unattach it? I can get the injectors off no problem, but the glow plugs I'm not sure about.

Thanks in advance

Just wiggle and pull straight up on the boot. Do not pull on the wire itself. You may need a pair of needlenose pliers to get in there if you have manly hands.

Very easy. Just pull up firmly on the connector. It's exactly like a spark plug on the top of the glow plug. A little post and something to help retain the wiring harness onto the glow plug like a snap ring or something.
This is a picture of a glow plug for the 7.3. Note the pin connection at the top.

I replaced both UVC harnesses last year. The glow plug connector is just a tight fitting rubber boot similar to a spark plug connection. Just pull them straight up to disconnect them.
