Torque management - maybe a good thing?

Now that my F450 is broken enough to lean on the throttle, I'm really impressed with the power. I've hit it twice at 20 MPH for a couple seconds to see how it does. 4 long tire tracks on the pavement... If the dually tires light up on a dry road with a good rolling start (also no pre-spooling of the turbo), I don't think more torque would be helpful at that speed. These trucks sure have some giddie-up!

yeah, my wife noticed that in out test drives, I asked the salesman if I can "get on it" and he said go ahead. My wife's reaction was something along the lines of "hmm, I didn't know you could spin the tires like that in a dually."

Maybe it's the altitude or the type of asphalt used around here, but I've never roasted the tires on my 2014 or my 2017 F250, regardless of setup. Traction control on, off, standing start, rolling start, doesn't matter. My tires only spin if they're wet. I get a little slip in the right circumstances from a roll, but I've never had the experience of shredding the tires on one of these heavy, slow spooling trucks.

Nathan, you're also comparing a 250 with what gears? The 450's with 4.30 gears will easily spin the tires.
