Can the dealer reprogram my power windows with auto up and down to work only when the button is pushed or pulled up ?
I do not like the full auto up and down mode.
I am having some problems with it also...today the driver's side got confused and would not respond at all. After multiple tries, it finally started working.
I guess I will have to bring it in if it acts up again, and want to be prepared to get it changed over if that will work.
That took some getting used to for me too, well and I'd imagine a lot of people. I still push that button too far if I just want to crack the window a bit.
It's possible to reprogram them on the '15+ trucks, I'm not sure on the older ones. If anything, it would probably only be available to the 11-14 trucks as they had a BCM vs. the earlier trucks with the GEM module. Forscan is what you'd use to do it yourself if it was possible.
I tried the light touch on mine and it works....but it is VERY sensitive...no noticeable notch or bump... it works tho....I did not realize it had this feature....thank you gents for the info....will keep it as it is.
I wanted to completely, permanently disable the bounce back feature. You know, the part that thinks there is an obstruction and automatically runs the window back down. There's a section in the owner's manual but it worked only until the next time the truck was turned off. Any ideas? 2013 STX.

Isn't this a safety feature? And I can't think of a situation where this feature would be used where it's not safety related.
Why would you want to disable it, and would use do you have where this feature becomes a problem?

Yeah, probably a safety feature for most people but my situation is different so I'd like to have choices. I have no kids. My wife rode in my truck exactly 3 times last year. Exactly 3. And at 55 yrs old I would expect she'd know by now not to put her fingers in a window that's going up. The only other person that's been in my truck is also 55-ish and probably knows better by now as well. I don't need to bounce back feature and it's a giant PITA with my window visors. So again, I'd like the choice of adjusting the sensitivity of it. I'd like the choice of whether I could permanently disable it or not. My household doesn't subscribe to the notion of a nanny state that has to protect me from every thing every day. Choices, if only I had choices.......
