Ford says my truck was delivered on 3/18/17 and the dealer says they don't have it! Is this another case of missing truck's gone wild, lol. It's been a long wait, ordered 12/19 and dealer must not have had allocation as it was put in mid January, built 3/6/17 and now MIA.
Traded in a 2003 F-150 with 232,000 miles and had no problems. Ordered a 2017 F350 XLT 6.2 with 4.30. The only reason for a F350 vs F250 was being gun shy of the new G-Trans. Maybe the concerns were unfounded, but it is what it is.
I feel your pain. For what it's worth, I ordered my truck on Sept 6 and was told it was "here" on Nov 23rd. No one really know where "here" was nor could anyone tell me when it would be at the dealer. On 11/30 I said to hell with it and found one nearby that had a lot more stuff on it but was available. The truck I ordered finally reached the dealer on 1/3. It will be worth the wait though. Good luck.
same thing happened to me-so i built the truck i ordered on the ford website and then did
an inventory search and the exact same truck was sitting on my dealer's lot with a different vin-i called the dealer and verified that indeed the same truck i ordered was on their lot so i bought that one-i got into a back and forth with the northeast ford rep about the issue of the truck i had originally ordered was 'lost' and after several calls the rep said they would make it good and gave me a two year 75k extended warranty gratis-
There are a few here with mysterious missing orders. I think a couple were eventually found in flood situations. Hopefully yours is not catastrophic like that!
this happened to me after I ordered a denali hd 3 years ago. It was built and 2 months later, the window sticker disappeared from the dealers inventory. So I thought hmmmmm maybe it's on the lot.
NOPE! nobody could locate the vehicle. Ends up it was still at the shipping yard in Michigan. GM didn't have enough rail cars to transport vehicles, so the truck was sitting in the shipping yard for over month and a half with no information on how much longer it was going to take for delivery to southern California. So I cancelled the order.
Mine was ordered 1/23, built 2/25, and now still MIA. I was told that it was in a rail yard about 15 miles from dealer, but no luck in getting it in. No one has officially confirmed where the truck is, and yesterday, I got called and the situation was escalated up to the regional manager to find the truck, whatever that means...
