Mirrors
Hi guys, I made some mirror arms, tubing is 5/8'' OD 2' long. I ended up powder coating the running boards and bought some ribbed rubber that I glued on.... used a product similar to sikaflex. I bought an a/c hose fitting crimp tool off ebay, so I'll make a start on plumbing the a/c up next weekend. Reverse light is 12V 55W halogen..... that should work !

Nice job on the mirrors and running boards. You will be truly amazed that anyone ever backed up with those though. Had a set very similar on a 48 COE, very hard to see much in them tiny, shaking little guys.

That's a real nice job on those mirror arms, but WB's points are well founded. I have seen a single 1/4" rod, factory made that holds the arm up from above. I am now on my third set of mirror heads on my panel as I keep opting for larger retangular ones from my junk mirror box. Now each arm has two braces to steady them.

Wow what progress. Very nice job on those arms. Here are mine, I took the small round ones off and put on the rectangular ones I had kept from a 61 ford uni cab. Much better for seeing out of for sure.
