Well I am bound and determined to get these things to fit on my truck. After reading several threads where people used these with success, I am having issues, I guess mainly because my truck is a manual transmission. After buying a mini starter to get the needed clearance on the passenger side, it looks like the collector outlet on the driver's side is going to be dumping out right in front of my "Z bar" for the clutch linkage. Any options available to get rid of all of this mechanical linkage? Hydraulic conversion kits available for our trucks? This is on a 1976 F100 2wd, 302, 3 speed manual.
Definitely hydraulic options - down here in Australia we imported F-series trucks and converted them to LHD, which meant all the controls on the opposite side... so we used a hydraulic clutch to keep things simple.
For under $100 all up you should be able to get it sorted.
Wow boingk, I didn't know those options were available. So that slave cylinder bolts right up to the factory 3 speed? I'm sure the master cylinder and linkage would require quite a bit of fabrication, right?
