Inside door handle, spring

My inside door handle is starting to work hard making the door hard to open. I have never taken the door handle apart/off just wondering what to look for if I need to take off/apart handle to fix.

Was also wondering about door spring, mine never had any. Is possible to get a new/used spring to replace the missing 2. Thanks.

The spring is made as part of the door remote control, not available by itself. What year truck do you have? 1967's use one year only parts, not the same as 1968/72.

does 70 have squeeze type ? if so problem is probably a worn arm
a new inside handle will fix it (inexpensive) , take the arm rest off and the handle (two small nuts ) look at arm that goes into door if you see a divet in end there's the problem .
my 68 had same problem .

The inside door handle itself isn't the problem as it has no moving parts. The problem lies with what's behind the inside door handle.

1968/72 F100/750: All have squeeze type inside door handles. Handle nestles to cup, behind cup is a flat reinforcement plate and the door latch remote control, has a coil spring made as part of it.

The control has two threaded studs, these pass thru the reinforcement plate, thru the cup, thru the door handle, are retained by nuts.

E9UZ-1521818-B (replaced E9UZ-1521818-A; D5TZ-9721818-A & B; C8AZ-6221818-A & B) .. Right Door Latch Remote Control / Available from Ford.

MSRP: $62.73 // FTE Ford Dealer Parts Dept sponsor tousleyfordparts.com price: $41.40.

Applications: 1968/72 F100/750 / 1968/77 Bronco / 1969/91 Econoline R/Front Door, R/Side Hinged Door & Back Door / 1986/90 Aerostar // 1968 Galaxie/LTD / 1968/69 Fairlane/Torino / 1968/70 Falcon / 1968/71 Thunderbird.

E9UZ-1521819-A (replaced D5TZ-9721819-A & B; C8AZ-6221819-A & B) .. Left Door Latch Remote Control / Available from Ford.

MSRP: $29.67 // tousleyfordparts.com price: $19.58.

Applications: 1968/72 F100/750 / 1969/91 Econoline L/Front Door / Other applications same as above.

Why is the left side much cheaper than the right side? Ask FoMoCo.

I picked up a nice shine handle off an econoilne a few weeks ago from the junkyard. I will see if it's in good shape. Mine were pitted snd looking bad Hopefully that fix one side. Sounds like it's not repairable? Guess I'll have to start looking at new, thanks.

It is, if you need the left (drivers) side. Notice it's listed under the original Ford part number: C8AZ-6221819-A = replaced in 1975 with: D5TZ-9721819-B = replaced in 1989 with E9UZ-1521819-A

Carpenter: $20.00 / FTE Ford Dealer sponsor tousleyfordparts.com (Tousley: White Bear Lake MN) price: $19.58 / Since you're closer to NC than to MN, shipping will prolly be less.

The finger on the door handle was worn so i replaced it. Fixed problem but still worked hard so I sprayed pb blaster in the the door latch, it now works smooth and easy. Just a quick update, thanks.
