1997 E350 - Headlight - 9004 connector/9007 socket
Hi everyone, long time lurker!
I have encountered a problem. Since I got my E350 I wanted to change the headlights. Apparently the model came with two headlight assemblies - one with a grey box around the actual headlamp and one that fills out the space completely.
I just ordered the new headlight and it came with a 9007 bulb and what I assume is a 9007 casing. My female connector in the van is a female h4.
As one will not fit in to the other - can I get a 9004 bulb and use it with the casing? Do I have to superglue it? The current one comes with a plastic locking mechanism.
See picture here:
The bulb has the little rubber seal and the black part screws it on tight. I don't have a spare H4/9004 bulb to try out the locking mechanism but it looks very different on the picks. Could I just use some sealant or something around the bulb/casing?
I also checked online to see if I could find some male h4 to female 9007 connectors but no luck so far.
Thanks!
