I have a 02 f350 superduty, I recently did the 07 head light conversion. I had a sealed beam style before. I have two questions. How can I make the low beam reach further out, besides shimming up the bottom of the lugh bucket. And is there a way to turn off the daytime running light when the ignition is just on and not the light switch. Or am I beating a dead horse. Thanks.
Here is a location description for a resistor you can unplug to drop out your DRL's I found elsewhere:
"On the drivers side, between the battery box, and the back of the headlight is a small metal cage. This cage holds a resistor (large, ceramic type). This cage will be VERY HOT if your lights have been on recently. This cage will be screwed to the metal frame that supports the grille/headlight stuff.
There will be a wire plugged into this cage/resistor combo.
