Hey guys Was looking @ the drivers side of my engine in my '80 F250 4x4 460 & noticed a bracket like thing going from the frame to one of the header flanges. I almost looks like a turn buckle w/ a spring on the end that attaches to the header flange. Any ideas ??? :confused
The spring softens the crash when limiting it, that is if it is from the frame to the header, or some other bolt on the block, not the header to exhaust pipe.
There are usually straps or chains for this but I have seen the spring thing a time or two.
