A bit OT: DEF being replaced??
I spoke to a friend of mine the other day and he indicated that the requirement for DEF and the whloe regen thing will be phased out in a year or two for some kind of new system. Smog pumps did not last that long before the engineers figguerd things out. Anyone here know of this.
He is a Cummins guy so it may just be something specific to them, IDK.

I know the big truck companies have been experimenting with a plasma after-treatment method vs DEF, but this is in road tractors vs pickups. If successful, it may eventually trickle into the pickup sector, but I haven't seen any testing results or heard updates about it.
