Does anyone still drive the last gen trucks and the 2017's back to back?
Here's what i have found this past weekend i drove my 2017 f-450 for 4 days straight put on around 1000 miles on the round trip got back home late monday night. Tuesday went to work parked the 2017 and got right in to my 2014 f-250 regular cab 4x4 diesel had to go on a service call 20 mins down the road the steering felt so loose like there was something very wrong with the truck i was over steering like crazy halfway through the day i was use to it again and all good.
I myself prefer the 2017 steering and the seats my 2014 seats feel like there out of an old 80's pickup now no support at all you feel like your sliding all over the seats. When i bought my 2014 i removed the center seat and installed a console out of a 2009 so they feel more like a bucket then a bench seat.
Maybe time to upgrade the 14

Someone was just recently asking how to do that with their 17, on here.
The new trucks have way better steering input, IMO. Also, it seems that the ratio is maybe changed it bit and I also think the new trucks have more wheel cut.
Just gut calls, nothing scientific... (F-250 vs F-250)
The difference is how much heavier the new trucks steer. It gives a bit of an artificial impression that the steering is tighter, but I don't really think so. Looking underneath the truck, everything appears to be extremely similar, and the steering "method" (hydraulic recirculating ball steering box with a pitman arm and tie rods) is identical.
I drive a 2016 F-150 back to back. The steering in that truck seems utterly feather light.

Not sure that will work now with the new cab.
But for my 14 it was just remove the center seat and install the console same bolt pattern i did not want to get involved with the 2011 and up console as it requires more work and at the time they were priced out of this world
