My driver door seems to move in/out on quick studder bumps and you can hear it moving with the seal compressing etc.
I've done the door seal mod on my previous SD (2012) but the seal on the 2017 is one continuous piece so would require cutting it to slide in the tubing into the channel of the seal. Anyone have this issue and thoughts on how to address this? I've had the dealer look at this twice, first time they couldn't "replicate the condition" and the second time they said the door was adjusted. Not sure if it's related but I seem to have a "draft" around the lower drivers door where I can feel cool air circulating in the area between the seat and the door from the door handle to the floor.
I find just the opposite, my doors are a little harder to close then my old truck and they seal very well, the first thing I noticed was how quite the cab is. If the door jumps, stutters it is not adjusted correctly
I had the exact same problem on my 2017! I took it to the dealer, and initially they couldn't replicate the problem. My dealer was fantastic though and offered to have their shop foreman ride along with me until we could duplicate it. We found a clear stretch of bumpy road, and once we hit 60 mph it was very obvious. They took it back in and noticed that the alignment of the driver's door didn't perfectly match the rear door when looked at from the outside. The made the adjustments and I haven't heard the noise since. So if your dealer has truly adjusted the door, they haven't done it correctly. Try again or find another dealer.
