Gary..Mine looked like that..or worse..when I got it. I rounded all the edges..Fabbed the aluminum bar because mine was bent. Used polished stainless for hardware Mine attaches with just the 2 bumper bolts. Would not plan on putting much strain on it. Lights can be mounted like mine..holes are there..or on the other lower bar..j..
Jerry - I thought you'd get a kick out of that. And, I'm aware they aren't meant for really hitting anything. But, if I don't put a winch of Big Blue I could put a stock bumper on and that bull bar.
That ^^^^ blue thing looks aftermarket. The factory buzzer has a connector with two rows of terminals. Four terminals in one row, and either two or three in the other row.
Buzzer on my '85 was inop since I bought the truck. The later trucks have a more polite "chime" for the same function, a nice "ding, ding" instead of the "bzzzzzzz". Same connector pinout according to the EVTMs. So I swapped one in from one of my '95s and it worked perfectly. Search on the part number turned up some NOS ones for $28 on this surplus site - https://www.bonanza.com/listings/For...0-AA/241283170 . A lot of the eBay junkyard sites were asking that much or more for a 20-odd-year-old take-off.
It doesn't mount the same as the old one. New one came with one speed nut as pictured. I just attached it with a trim screw through one of the holes in the upper support behind the glove box door.
