Brake Booster hissing

That adjustment on the pushrod to the master cylinder has a specification that is important. In the book they make a guage block, from the surface of the booster around the studs to the tip of the pushrod should be .995 inches. They let you go .980-.995.
Too short and your pedal travel is too much. Too long and it presses on the master cylinder slightly, and this will cover up the compensation ports in the master cylinder. You will know if this is happening if after you drive it for a little bit, the brakes start mysteriously applying by themselves. Let it cool off and everything is ok again until you drive it some more and it will happen again.

I may still have air in the system but most of the time if you have air if you where to pump the brakes the pedal would come up and mine does not.
Gives me something to look into when I get back on the brakes again.
