There's only so much Mark can do before you have to go out there and get dirty and start seeing if the parts he mentioned are identical.

Oh i plan on pulling the trans back out and checking if the parts are there. I just didn't know what to be looking for, and since i'm not up on the V10 stuff i ask questions. This whole project has been a mess.

Just want to be done with it and drive it.

I hear ya. I went through a couple donor trans before I found a compatible one for my build.

The flexplates should be interchangeable. I just finished swapping in a 2001 v10 into my 1999 f250 and I had to swap over the 4-lug flexplate off the 99 motor so that I could use my OG torque converter.

Question, I have a 1999 F350 V10 with the E40D/4R100 transmission, will a E40D out of 1997 150 work? This is a work truck with high miles so not wanting to put a lot into it.

There is no such thing as a V10 F-150, so no, it will not work. I understand the bolt pattern is the same, and it will bolt in, but it won't shift, and if it did, it won't stand up to a V10.
