hey guys, i'm going to be swaping a dana 44 out of a 78 bronco into my 85 f-150 and need all the advice i can get on the subject. I need to know what kind of steering setup and what donor trucks i need to find any help will be appreciated thanks
use the stock tie rods, and a drag link out of a 92-97 F-350 which will give you an adjustable length drag link instead of the non adjustable 79 style.
Any one thats done the SAS will help you through this, just keep asking questions and make sure you have everything you need before you start. It's not to bad, i did the whole swap by myself in about 60 hours. With help it would probably take alot less time.
Thanx for all the good advice guys, it will go to good use. I had another idea about fabricating a 4 link or maybee a 3 link setup using HIEM joints at all mounting points for articulation, has anyone tried this before? If i went with the 3 link i would have to fab a lower mount for the shocks i think, just bouncing ideas of yall.
