Instrument Panel Went Dead

I need some advice testing the instrument panel on a 2004 E350 that goes off completely intermittently.

Last December, the ABS light would flash and all the gauges including speedometer went crazy. Lasted about 15 seconds.

Today, all the gauges went completely off twice. When the gauges came back on it threw a CEL 0460 (fuel sensor gauge).

Several of the illumination lights are out on the left side, so now is a good time to replace.

frankly, I think it's a bad ground if the whole cluster goes off.

Bad ground from the battery to frame? Or ground to the instrument panel? JWA suggested checking both the ground and power. I am removing instrument panel next weekend.

It's a 6.0 diesel with 2 batteries.

Thanks!
