In all the years I have owned this truck, I have not pulled the instrument panel until today. Need to replace some bulbs. My question is, what is the transformer looking device mounted on the circuit board? Thanks for any information.
By the way, panel has idiot light not full instrumentation.

If it's the thing that gets plugged onto the Instrument Cluster Constant Voltage Regulator, then it's a electrical noise filter.

Upper pic: 10804 is the ICVR, 10K843 is the printed circuit board. 1970 is the first year, but 1970 is 1970 only. 1971/72 with gauges different than with warning lamps.
