AOD SWAP

Hi everyone...im new here and was wondering....i have a 91 f150 with a 5.0 and aod trans....can i put a AOD from a 90 F150 without any mods.......any info will help.....thanks

AOD to AOD should present no problems......if that is what you have. E4OD made its appearance around then and was a option on the 5.0. O/D cancel button on the dash is the first clue. Also check your door jamb tag transmission option.

Yeah check the trans code on the door pillar, your truck could have one of 3 different slush boxes, an all mechanical AOD(trans code T), or the computer controlled 4R70w(Trans code U) or E4OD(trans code E).
