Talking Antenna mounting

Gentlemen

I own a 2014 F250 gas 4x4 and want to install a mag mount antenna on the front fender. Cable routing might be a problem if I cant figure out how to go through the firewall. On my old 92 F250 there was a firewall grommet of sorts to pass cables through, not sure about this truck. Mounting an antenna is pretty much limited to the front as I have a 9 1/2 cab over camper. Ill be working 2m so the 1/4 wave antenna will be rather small.

Thanks ahead for any input

With all the flooding around recently I went ahead and got my old Icom 2000 mounted and ready to go in the truck. As previously stated I bent my clamp mount to match the hood of this truck and mounted my Larson LM150 to the hood, and mounted the radio on the pedestal mount in front of the dash on the floor (one of the reasons I didn't buy a truck with the full center console)

If you route it down through the engine bay close to the firewall there should be a rubber grommet under the passenger carpeting. That is what we normally use to bring cables in to the cab. ( Usually power from the battery)
