2017 Superduty CB/UHF/VHF Radio mount location

I'm tooling up my new work truck and am just wondering where others have mounted their radios?

I don't have the full console in mine, just the half console/combo seat in the middle.

Console

Havis Shield generic angled box. Drilled two holes through the box and the lower dash panel and secured it to the dash instead of the floor to get the angle I wanted.

I also don't have the full center console, and mounted my 2 meter radio on the floor using a pedistal mount that I had purchased off eBay about 10 years ago to mount it in my old f150. Blocked off the little storage bin and the extra 12 volt plug that was there but I hadn't found a use for them in the 2 weeks I had the truck before I mounted it and figured I wouldn't miss it. That spot also allowed me to still use the left side of the lower cup holder for larger coffee cups. Mounted the antenna via a lip mount to the rear edge of the hood.

I haven't been able to bring myself to drill holes for mounting in the superduty yet. I am running the cheap handheld on a seat post mount until I find something better for my mobile rig.

I have one of the hidden control box Cobras. I'd love to mount it in the center console but couldn't bear to drill into it. Would likely install the control box under the drivers seat.

I've got a Stryker SR-89MC I used in my Jeep Wrangler. It can be mounted anywhere. I just haven't decided about an antenna setup on my truck yet. The Stryker SR-89MC is a great little radio and performs very well.

The last time I checked Bell CB was the best place to buy. If your wanting a CB radio it will have to be converted.

I just installed one on my 2019 f-250. I pulled off the plastic side panel on the driver's side of the center console and screwed the unit to a bracket behind that panel up near the firewall. Fits in there real tight but its 100% hidden and no holes required if you don't want to. I did cut one hole to run the mic cable out the front of the panel under the cover for the mounting bolt of the console itself. The mic cable lays right in the space along side the console. Looks like it was factory. It's not necessary if you don't want to. I just thought it really looked and worked well enough to drill the hole.

What mount is that? I plan on buying a handheld mic for my Yaesu FT-65 and using it in my truck until I can save up for a FTM-400 or something similar with a detachable face.
I bought a fender NMO mount for a Larsen 5/8 wave antenna I had...hope a 5W HT coupled with the external antenna will be adequate for the repeaters in my immediate area.
