Will a 1980-1986 window work in my 89 F250

I bought this truck with a broken passenger side window and I needed it replaced. I found a 83 f150 at a junkyard with a passenger side window,'will it work on my truck?

Yes the door frames and window glass are all the same from 1980-96.

Edit: My statement above has been found to be NOT CORRECT. The pic from Evan_P on page 2 clearly shows they are different. Another learning experience for me.

What exactly would be different? The cabs and doorframes are the same.

The 80-86 glass is wider and has a Narrow wing window frame
The 87-97 glass is narrower and has a wide wing window frame

So he could use the 83 window if he also put in an 83 vent window? Boy ya learn something new all the time around here.

You would think that if Ford was going to make such a change, it would be to make the vent window *smaller* since A/C by that time had just about made the vent window obsolete.

Correct correct correct. But not sure how the cutout in the door panel would line up

Hmmm. MACS says the vent window glass is the same 1980-91, but Jeff's says the door glass is different. I still cannot figure out what is different. It would be nice if ND would come in here and give us the Ford part numbers for the door glass.

I would assume the metal frame the window track is in would be thinner on the 80-86.

Vent window glass is the same 1980/91 F100/350 & Bronco (right & left specific), but the door glass (right & left specific) is not the same.

NAGS: National Auto Glass Society-auto glass shops supplier.

1980/91 F100/350 & Bronco:

EOTZ-1021412-A Clear & EOTZ-1021412-B Tinted .. Right Vent Glass / NAGS #: V6058 (specify clear or tinted).

EOTZ-1021413-A Clear & EOTZ-1021413-B Tinted .. Left Vent Glass / NAGS #: V6059 (specify clear or tinted).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1980/86 F100/350 & Bronco:

EOTZ-1021410-A Clear & EOTZ-1021410-B Tinted .. Right Door Glass / NAGS #: D6060 (specify clear or tinted).

EOTZ-1021411-A Clear & EOTZ-1021411-B Tinted .. Left Door Glass / NAGS #: D6061 (specify clear or tinted).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1987/91 F150/350 & Bronco:

F1TZ-1521410-A (replaced E7TZ-1521410-A) .. Right Door Glass / NAGS #: D7954

F1TZ-1521411-A (replaced E7TZ-1521411-A) .. Left Door Glass / NAGS #: D7955

The parts catalog doesn't specify, so I'm assuming these are tinted.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The division bar between the door and vent glass is the same 1980/91 F100/350, Bronco & 1988/91 F(Super Duty).

Montana is a Pontiac van (I know this because a pal of mine owns one), the Olds version (Silhouette) would be the same, not sure about Chevrolet or Buick (if a Buick van exists).

So I am really struggling to figure out what is different in the door glass if the vent window frame, vent window glass and the door frame are the same 80-91.

Is the 87-96 door glass perhaps thicker for more sound deadening?

If anyone near Austin, Texas, has a door glass from a 1980-86 truck, I have both sides from an 88 truck we could compare.
