Steering block vs drop drag

Anyone have an opinion on using the block instead of getting a drag link? I already have a drop pitman, but need a little more drop. Cheapest I can find drags is around $200, where the block is only $50ish. Eventually I will switch to crossover, but not in the budget right now. Thoughts?

I wouldn't use a block.......but that's just my opinion........seems like a lot of leverage on those bolts to me.......

I worried the same, but seems a lot of people use them. I'll search for horror stories.

I have heard horror stories about the block also. I have never personally SEEN any issues, only heard about them being a bad thing.

There is a thread on here where a guy has a truck that had the bolts either broke (one) or got loose and strip the knuckle out. Then the block was welded to the steering knuckle.

Spend the time and money once and do it the way you want to....with the cross over.
