For a bare block without machine work or ARP hardware I would rather have a stronger iron Pond block fully machined with ARP hardware ready to assemble. Pond will back up their block, try that with a used 427 block, buyer beware.

I dont even have to look at the ad to know its to much money! with the Genisis,Shelby and Pond block out there now, that are FAR superior to the Iron of old! and aint NO body gonna know but you even if your doing a resto!!

Thats why all the guys that were holding those blocks are trying too unload em right now before the bottom falls out of the market for them...

Speaking of High Dollar blocks..Glenn (FFR428) should take delivery of his new 427 next week!!

I'll let him fill ya'll in on the particulars!! He gotta Moooch deal!!

$2900 a few years ago would have been a steal!!! I remember before the Genesis and Pond blocks came out a good std bore sideoiler would run ya $3500+. The nos blocks were off the charts at $6000+. That block looks pretty good. I don't see any ribs on the side which tells me it's not a 70's service block. I've since been offered a std bore sideoiler 70's service block for $2500 recently. Price was $2800 a few months ago. With Genesis blocks starting at $3295 most guys will opt for that rather than a oem block. Although there are the guys who want a Ford block and nor a repop. I'll take the Genesis or Pond anyday. As far as my deal goes I need to firm it up on monday before I spill the beans. It ain't over till the fat lady sings I've been told. LOL. No one was there today to speak with so....Monday hopefully it will be a done deal. We'll see???

Race party!!! woo hoo!!!

Well I'll be awake LONG before they open the doors. i'll probably have it shipped to CT for when I get back. We have the loading dock and fork lift there. But thanks anyway...I don't think the wife would like me to bring it home in the truck of her baby tho... Plus with all my crap in the car there is not much room either. LOL unless I strap it in the front seat??
