Homemade intake plenums?
I just finished reading the 'home blower' thread and it was greatly interesting....just curious....have any of you made or considered making an intake plenum just to see if it would work? I have a lower intake manifold from a 5L H.O. that appears to be begging for a homemade runner/plenum/carb config.

That is interesting. I was gonna reply how you shouldn't blah blah blah and you have to know what rpm you are wanting the motor to operate and what length the runners should be. Instead, if you have the desire and time and material then go for it. There are a few people who could offer real opinions and suggestions and who knows you may learn something no one else knows by doing it. Good luck

Yeah, I thought it might be fun just to see what it would do, how the engine would react to it, etc. There must be people out there who like to try stuff like this, I love fabricating pieces I need because I know the sun doesn't rise and set on a stack of mail order catalogs.
