E-fuel Mounting Locations?

Regular Cab Truck so there is no space on the drivers side inner frame rail between the transfer case and fuel tank.

I was hoping to go on the passengers side frame rail like in King's E-fuel but I don't have a stack like he appears to have, so the location shown below won't work for me either.
Any ideas? I'd hate to have to cut a hole in my bed and route them into my tool box.. lol

Mine is standard cab and I put the pump and filters on the outside frame on the drivers side. Plenty of room and no problem for years.

This is what I thought of when I read your post. On the regular cab trucks space is pretty limited. Outside the frame may be one of your better options. You don't want to get the setup in such a tight place that it is difficult to change the filters

Thanks guys. I have yet to see a setup on the outside of the frame that I liked.
Also having a lifted truck just makes it that much more noticeable. lol
I'm also not partial to the battery boxes some people put on the outside of their frame.

I did some measurements and I can run a 2" diameter pipe from the corner of my toolbox through the bed and run the fuel lines that way. Filter setup in my toolbox. The 2" still allows 4x8 sheets to sit flat in my bed!

My issue Alex is up in the tool box that's a LONG way to have the fuel pump pull the fuel up. I would be very afraid of shortened pump life. I'm not sure where that leaves you but that's my take on it.

If this is for your standard cab mount it on top of the skid plate for the tank...That's where I put mine. Its hidden, protected, and doesn't dangle down wanting to get ripped off like 80% of the kits I see out there...

I'm in favor of Nick's idea at this point. Imagine you get a fuel leak in your tool box and everything in there gets soaked. Idk about you, but I usually have some stuff in there that I wouldn't want to see get soaked in diesel fuel.

I like that! A LOT!

Have more pics of the bracket?
It bolts to the bottom of the fuel tank skid plate?

Appreciate the feedback guys. i didn't like the idea of putting it in my tool box for a few of those reasons either, but I reallllly don't like filters hanging out on the outside of the frame. lol

I may change the location of mine later one, but I had to mount it to the outside frame rail. Being that I have a Bronco, I think I have the shortest amount of length overall so I had to modify a bracket to mount the setup over the emergency brake cables.

It's not too bad where it is, but I want to build a little skid plate that will help hide it/protect it from rocks and stuff. Luckily, it's semi close to the nerf bars and transfer case shield so it would be pretty hard for a rock to make it's way in-between both of those.

Mines a single cab with a barnone kit in the outside of the frame rail 10k miles and some snow and salt with no issues.

I can take more pictures, but to be honest all it is is a piece of 3" .25" thick strap, heated and bent in an anvil. I drilled 4 holes at the bottom. It bolts directly to the skid plate. Bult a face plate and adjustable support to mount my filters. It sits snug in there, but with plenty of clearance behind the t case, and you would be a darn good driver to whack it with a rock bouncing around off road.

I built mine for my filter setup which is going to be different than others. I modeled it after TOM S system and bracketry, but made it a bit smaller, and kept it a bit more simple. http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/sh...778#post362778 Been solid for a 140k miles now.

I have friend with those super sweet FASS systems on their dodges , I'm pretty sure all of them have ripped them clean off the rail at work or camping at some point. That was my intention behind the placement.
