I was at an RV show today and saw a KZ Darango 2500, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that unit? It looks good and seems to fit our needs but I haven't heard much about them
If you are comparing construction, the most valuable thing you can do is to find the brochure for you model on the Internet and compare the construction details like floor and roof construction in the cross section view. There are obvious differences!
As a simple minded rule, more weight per foot of length usually means no corner cutting to save weight.
I was just a little concerned about getting repairs done. It has a good warranty 2 years. It appears to be well made but the factory rep said they had about 100 Durango dealers through out the country and none are in my immediate area. I am starting to lean back to the Cougar line.
The only contact I've had was a couple next to us two years back bought a new one and the closet doors in the front fell down because they were stapled into the ceiling paneling and nothing else, it was delivered to the CG by the dealer because they didn't have a truck.
Might be a little late but I have a Durango Gold. I found an issue with the factory TV system with the nearest dealer 125 miles. That dealer would no work on my KZ because they did not sell it. I called the factory customer service & they said it was not an issue and authorized repair at any facility. So far I"m liking the KZ and this is my 4th 5W. Another plus some of the KZ's are rated for full time living.
