2000 EXPO EB mirrors on a 1998 EXPO XLT
Replacing my damaged 1998 Expo XLT mirrors with mirrors from a 2000 Expo EB that I found at the local pullapart. My original mirrors are power adjust but had no heater or blinker function. The 00 replacements do have heat and blinkers. The wiring is a little different but I figured out and tested the wiring for the motors to work and have soldered together some adapters with connectors and wiring that I also pulled from the parts yard. I will use these to plug into my existing harness. I have soldered extended lengths of wire onto the connectors to run through the door jamb grommet and under the dash for the ground, heater and blinker connections. My question is where would be the best place to splice into under the dash for the blinker and heater functions. I do have a switch on the dash for the rear window heater deicer grid that hopefully can serve the mirrors as well? Any help and 98 expo diagrams is greatly appreciated. May do a write up once I complete this conversion as to how it works.

I am about to do the same thing on my 99, and I am not too far from you (I used to go to Cowboys a lot).
I am not sure on the signal wires. I think there is a relay under the dash for the rear defrost that you will have to pull from for the heaters, as I dont think the switch can handle the current. I have a spread sheet from another site that someone made up for doing this. Let me see if I can find it and I can email it to you.
