Old, Old, Old CL thread posts
Ummmmm, So wouldn't every EX, since they are ALL now 12 years old or older need to have "most things" replaced due to "old age" regardless of the mileage? Or does high mileage somehow have a fountain of youth effect?
As the owner of an EX that does a lot of sitting I'm not seeing any issues with "most things" (or anything, for that matter) falling apart because of it.

Well let's see you obviously didn't understand the point I was trying to make.
Assuming this truck with low mileage at about 12 or so more years old it "Obviously" sat most of its life.
It is also very likely that each year prior to this truck being brought out for it's its use the owner kept maint. done on it so the part of me saying old parts need replacing may not apply.
I too own a 2000 EX and just now having the time to really go through it. That said a lot of what I'm finding is stock OEM stuff are in need of replacing just due to old age.
Just because something sits for 20 years and never used the day you go to fire it up and it starts without hesitation does not mean everything is working as it should nor should you rely on 20 year hoses, electrical stuff, etc. to hold up.

I got what you are saying
, it's just the way you said it the first time made it sound like the ones that sit will need "most things" replaced from "old age". I was only questioning if that meant that you felt more frequently used high mileage rigs would have less than "most things" in need of replacement because they aged less or more slowly due to the increased miles. Mostly I was just having some fun with what you said.
I do agree that regular and proper maintenance is THE MOST important and desirable feature a used EX (or any vehicle) can have.

And I think the prices some folks are asking for these wagons is just crazy.

Touche my friend! Suppose we just both misunderstood one another.
Yea first thing anyone should ask when buying a vehicle is it's its history of maintenance. Hoping that the seller has a binder kept.
I wasn't like that before but now I document everything I do and the mileage and date of when something was done. Not for resale but peace of mind and to help my memory when I start to think something needs done I can reference to the last recorded item done.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
"We bought this 5 years ago from Celebrity Apprentice Brad Cohn with 7000 miles on it. It is a V10 Gas engine with only 27000 miles on it We hardly use this show truck..It is a Limousine in Rear with sliding Divider and surrond sound TV. It has a satellite Dish with direct tv set up. Front rolls royce clip has some blemishes in it due to fiber glass.. Drives great..."
Just another example of the vain and banal...SMH

Bumping this because I'm hoping more people will post King ranch or Lariat wheels. They are difficult to search for because many people selling them don't realize their significance and don't put key search terms in th ad. I'm looking for a set.
The guys will search the whole US and post links for you bud.
