The only surprising thing about it to me is that it's single rear wheel. Here in wv, we have Amish country states on 3 sides and it's not unusual to see the guys that run hot shot rack up those type of miles delivering furniture, trailers, etc across the eastern seaboard. Some of those guys run from upstate PA to Florida three times a week in their trucks. Almost always crew cab to get the dot sleeper deal. Also see it a lot much closer to home here with horses. We have a horse race track and some of these race horses probably travel more miles in a year than my truck does, and these days they all ride behind one tons.

Not familiar with the brand new trucks, but f series shocks from 99 through at least 08 are eyelet mount on top while excursions have the mount that goes through the eyelet and bolts to the frame/body with two bolts. You can use them if you lube the snot out of the bushings and use a press to swap them, but you'll be reusing your old rubber bushings from your truck.

It's possible ford has switched mounting styles over the years though. Generally speaking, the excursion has such little suspension travel that shock travel isn't important as long as the shock has enough travel to hit the bumps.

Looks really nice and about as low mileage as can be found for someone looking for a 6.0.

If there were a little more of that fancy pinstriping on it, I might be tempted to go all in!!

I dont know about the price, it dont seem too enticing for me even with the low mileage and clean undercarriage. Sure there are reasons why we buy Excursions but a truck 12 years or more with low mileage also means it spent it's life sitting. So most things would need to be replaced I would think just because of old age.

The ad also showed as a 6 cylinder diesel at the bottom. Surely is legendary.
