Truck is essentially an 06 F350. Feels like there is air in the lines. Say driving down the freeway, and i want to nail the brakes hard, feels a little hard at first, pressure relaxes, have approx 3" of travel where they feel squishy, and then you can really lay into the brakes, but the pedal is never really firm.
I can lock up all 4 37" tires afterward but it doesnt feel "right"
Truck does not have ABS.
I have bled the system multiple times. I recall when i first put the whole brake system together it felt VERY good, the brakes were right there and were easily modulated. I do not have any brake fluid of PS leaks.
At some point I added a power steering cooler.
I dont remember if that is when it started feeling bad or after.
THe pedal has a "slow" return. takes 2 seconds or so to return from a full press at idle.
Any ideas?
I was thinking I have a restriction on the return side..waiting for some ideas before I go about getting covered in ATF and cutting lines apart to bypass the cooler..
