"Afootand light-hearted I take to the open road,. Healthy, free, the world before me. The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose...." Walt Whitman
Now, why would you start a car commercial like that?!? WW must be spinning up a dust storm in his urn.
Well it appears that I owe Keanu Reeves a huge apology. He is not the voice-over actor in that Volvo commercial. To my ear it sounded like him, and looked a bit like him too. I'm pretty sure I won't get an invite to his next party.

This might seem a little dark. It starts with those Lincoln commercials where Mathew McConaughey is driving around by himself in a car with more doors and seats than he needs. Did he trick the salesperson into getting out of the car and leave them stranded? Is the salesperson tied up in the back? Dismembered in bags in the back? "I don't need to be paid to drive a Lincoln..." I say stuff like that to myself all the time.
On to the Volvo ad: I should have recognized Whitman, but I didn't. Instead, I wondered, again, why is this guy on a road trip by hissef with all them doors and seats he don't need? Ahhh! Perhaps he has just murdered his wife and children, and is fleeing the scene in the: a) family car or b) wife's car because his POS won't start. Or are the bodies in the trunk?
Having wondered this aloud in our home, my wife, who is neither murdered nor dismembered, will not test drive a Lincoln or Volvo.

Except for the first two sentences, I read that entire above while "hearing" the same voice-over actor as the Volvo commercial.
