Well me myself had quite the party with my truck. I have a f-350 cclb dually and for two days it sat on jack stands wheels and tires laying on the ground next to it while it recieved, rotors and pads all the way around, calipers all the way around, parking brake shoes and hardware, rear hub seals, new front axle ujoints and seals, new ball joints, new hubs/wheel bearings, new tie rods, new drop arm, new steering gear box, new power steering pump, new manual lock out hubs, new belt and tensioner, new fluid in the rear end, trans filters and pan gasket, new fuel filters, oil and oil filter. Still have glow plugs to do and to chase down an oil leak and coolant leak along with testing the new speed sensor that came with the hub/wheel bearing to see if it is bad. I for one will say that the position of the power steering pump is probably in one of the worst spots ever!!!!!!! But I am new to the 6.0 use to my 7.3. What are some other things that you guys would recommend to do so I can work it in sometime I upgraded to an s&b intake my stock one was broken and I also upgraded to the Harley one piece headlights. Just kinda curious to what other things other people have done as well

I did a coolant flush, egr delete, oil cooler, new oil, oil filter, fuel filters, blue spring upgrade, and other things that were broken. I love my psd and especially the 6.0. Call me crazy but it is my dream truck and I love working on it.
I don't mind working on it till it came to the belt and power steering pump. I think once I figure out how to take the fan shroud out to give more room in there for working on it and if it is possible to do head gaskets and studs with the cab on

it is possible, though I haven't done it yet I do plan to soon. The shroud is the two bolts on top, radiator hoses (top) disconnected and the first shroud will come up. I think you have to unbolt the radiator too to give room. Then the fan shroud is 5 bolts? Maybe 4 don't remember I think 2 on top and 2 or 3 on bottom but it comes off with the fan and I went ahead and bought the special tool for it ($40 ish). Then you can see the whole front of the motor.
Yeah i know that's once you get that all out you see the whole front of the motor just have to figure out how to get the shroud out lol I have the fan tool I used got it when I did the water pump on my 7.3 just need to play around under the hood of the 6.0 a little more and get more familiar with it is all I suppose. Is there a map that shows where other 6.0 owners live that are part of this forum?

not to my knowledge but I'm up in st Pete FLA if you ever find your way over here id always be happy to help. Though I'm no expert just been taking mine apart from the beginning lol. Best way to learn man and watch diesltechron videos.
I'd be curious if an admin would want to do it or if they would alow it to be done. I'm in Iowa and I see a lot of 6.0 running around here but most of them are younger kids that like to hot rod them.

When you setup your account you can put your location, but not many people do this. I would recommend everyone do this, it is frustrating not knowing where people are.
My account is set up i just normally run off of my phone and it doesn't pop up my info down side of using a phone to get on and post. The people who do have problems and don't care are the ones that kinda screw over the people like us on this page that do take care of our trucks

Here's a water pump video from dieseltecron (RIP) that has the fan shroud removal. It isn't so bad to do.
I started my own thread so I didn't have to dig threw a thread that had nothing to do with what I was talking about this way I KNOW what responses are directed to my topic and say three people who posted before me I do the same thing on other forums as well. I don't want to have to filter threw 10 different responses to find out none of them deal with what I asked or needed help with. Sorry if you don't like the "general topic" type thread that I started but if I have a question about something or want to post something I'm going to start my own thread I do my research before I post but if there isn't anything close to what I need help with I post it up and hope for a response with the help I need. That's what this place is for.
