If you could do it over again
If you could order a 2017 over again, are there any factory options you would get that you didn't already have? Likewise, are there any options that you currently have that you wouldn't get again?

The only options that a Platinum has that my Lariat doesn't are adaptive steering, lane keep assist and massaging seats; however, what I really wish I had were painted bumpers. Just not a huge fan of the chrome ones. I'll probably end up having them and my grille painted magnetic to match the rest of my truck eventually.

Lariat ultimate. I wish I had push button start and I miss my tailgate step. My dealer screwed me on that one though. I definitely asked for it.
i also wish I had the ambient lighting choices and the door sill lighting.
But those things aren't really that bad.
i just wish the pricing wasn't so steep from the Value to Ultimate just for those things.

Definitely would have just got the Platinum Ultimate package instead of piecing in the things I definitely wanted. I only ended up saving roughly $700 and whats that when you're spending 78K+. My truck will be missing the Adaptive Cruise control and the Lane keeping alert 😭.

I had a ram with painted bumpers. It seemed to me that painted bumpers retain bugs more than chrome after washing.

My '14 FX4 F150 had the painted bumpers and you're not wrong. I keep my vehicles super clean/waxed, so it never bothered me. I just prefer the look of painted. Not a huge fan of the chrome.

For the money, I don't know how I missed the tire upgrade...I originally had chosen the FX4 package which would have included it, but decided against the sticker and skid plates, as I don't off road....I didn't order the console vault, but ordered it direct and will install it myself...wasn't much of a fan for the "drive the truck for me" frills, so don't mind that I don't have any of the adaptives, and will just live with the BLIS, as it was part of the KR Ultimate package.

I got the Lariat Ultimate package. I didn't order mine. The dealer found what i was looking for in Oregon and had it brought up to WA. Only thing I would have liked is the upfitter switches. And maybe the rear heated seat... although I don't sit back there, but the kids complain.

Yeah I cant imagine ever having carpet in a truck again. Heck I don't think ill ever have a house with carpet in it again either. Carpet just holds dust and dirt.
