I would have purchased a platinum instead of an ultimate lariat just for the nicer seats. They are more comfortable. Also i would have got the truck in White Gold.
Would not have added the snow plow prep package. Don't think I will ever use it, but since we have properties with a lot of parking lots, figured I would give myself the option. Looking back, would rather of not had the harsher ride.
I didn't "order" mine, I went to dealer told them what I wanted and gave them my time frame for delivery, which was a week.... They found me what I wanted exactly, I just overlooked a few things due to my stupidity and giddiness that they actually found me one within distance of getting in my time frame. I wish I had cab lights, heated rear seat for kids and possible LED headlights... I love the crystal clear lenses on halogens but the wow factor of LEDs is nice.
I would have went with the Sync 3 for the larger screen to make hitching up just a little easier. My eyes are getting older, and I'm definitely getting lazier!
For the truck I bought, the Platinum Ultimate Package and the options I ordered are near perfect. There were a couple of options I wanted but couldn't find -- but I've forgotten what they were so they must not be that important.
For the truck I bought, I'm finding the black is near impossible to keep spot free. Not true on our Mercedes GL-450. Not true on our Toyota 4-Runner. Something about the F250 just loves to spot. So I'd probably be getting some other color.
However, if I had it to do over again, I would have bought a dually. I had no idea they were very little cost more, and I really wish I had the extra capacity.
While we didn't order, but found what we wanted pretty easy, now that I "know" a bit more, I "probably" would have ordered 4.30 gears. But that's about it. Very happy with our Lariat Value so far.
Dealer found mine in a neighboring state and had it ferried in, if I had it to do over again I would have waited for the long bed but the truck had everything I wanted plus some.
When I first ordered mine I had no interest in the ultimate package so my first order was with nothing from that package other then the moonroof 2 days later a little more research and added the third brake light camera. About a week after that I learned more about the adaptive cruise decided that I wanted that as well. With all of these options added separately I was only $150 away from the price of the ultimate package said to dealer just go ahead and let's do it when he went to enter the ultimate package it rejected it and we would've had to start all over again I was not interested in doing that so I left it the way it was. So for me if I did it again I would just get the ultimate package and would also have gone with carpet delete
