Hood Latch Jammed
I have a 7.3 PSD, 250, and it seems that somehow I have gotten the hood jammed in the safety position. I was checking the oil, it was fine and closed the hood, it didn't close all the way, so I went to pop the release latch in front to lift it back up to close it and the latch would not move. I thought maybe the hood release cable had somehow caught and went to the cab to pull on the cable. It was loose, not engaged. Went back and could not even push the hood down or pull it up. It has somehow jammed in the safety position. I just spent the last 30 min trying to force it and no joy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

A short story... I had a big dude working for me in home construction.. He drove an old Chevy that he couldn't get the hood closed one day at quiting time.. He was proud of the new size 18 [honest] shoes he bought , and jumped up and down on the hood saying, "it's a Chevy, I can fix it" .. He did, and drove on home... The hood wasn't exactly straight, but it was latched...I hope yours came out in a little better shape......Fords deserve better...

But I have a problem with pack rats so everynight I have to prop open my hood and put a 'night' light inside so the packrats don't come in and start a nest under the turbo. I have spent about $500 in towing a repair fees for the
packrats...I put poison out to
em, but that is not enough...
