Good video. That new drain valve scares me though. Seems too easy to move. They should have put a safety clip or some type of pin to remove before it could rotate. I do like like the ease of use of it though.
Great video, thank you. Your boys were a lot of help too!

Agree, needs a safety clip on that ball valve. Otherwise, great idea.
Success with the filter punching has been so eratic in the last couple of years. Sometimes it drains but more often it doesn't. So I've kind of given up on it. I'm thinking the orange rubber ring acts as a back-flow preventer to keep oil in the lines above. It used to work so well but now, it's just a mystery.

I had the same concerns but if you look at it closely, you'll see a metal detent and spring which holds the lever in the closed position until a very specific motion is applied. It's also right up next to the back side of the drain pan so I just can't see anything accidently even getting close to it. Obviously time will tell but they sell a lot of these and the satisfaction ratings are pretty high.
And yes, they boys showed up for about 60 seconds. I love to make them feel awkward. They haven't reached my mental state yet where I don't give a flying crap ball about my image anymore.
