Good video. That new drain valve scares me though. Seems too easy to move. They should have put a safety clip or some type of pin to remove before it could rotate. I do like like the ease of use of it though.
I've had a Fumoto drain valve on my Nissan Titan for the past 10 years. Absolutely zero issues with it. I've been through deep snow, mud, rivers and car washes and the drain valve stays shut.
Just had oil change done at dealer, 1st one on the house. 3K miles but was in to replace the media door anyway. Since they would have to purchase full synthetic locally I went with the synthetic blend Motorcraft oil but will go with full synthetic when I start doing them. I had an EZ drain on Rodney's advice ready to go but I selected a 90 degree elbow for the hose attachment. I like that the oil will be pointed directly at the pan without having to slide the pan around to catch it all. Nothing worse than working around a pool of oil on the floor on a creeper.
And for those novices at oil changes don't forget the grease gun. Front axle shafts and steering components like a shot of fresh grease! I haven't found any other zerks and the owners manual is extremely unhelpful in that department.
the oil oil used in this video is this the same oil recommended by ford?
I have a guy guy who has been working on cars his whole life it's his job. From Racing cars as a hobby to working on them and rebuilding engines as a career in his own shop and he told me the best oil to use in a vehicle is havaline valvaline maybe I spelled that right.
Now granted Ted my past vechiles and current are gas engines but is their a diesel oil made by this company and if so... is the quality still the same and is it preferred over most?

There have been so many discussions on oil preferences I wouldn't try to summarize them here. Everyone has a preference based on price, availability, OEM warranty, synthetic vs. dino, etc. The bottom line is that the 6.7L diesel engine spec is a CJ4 oil in either 30W50 for standard service or 5W40 for heavy service. I have always used Mobile 1 products on all my vehicles as long as I can remember but I tried Rotella T6 on my 2011 Super Duty for a while. Then I found out if wasn't a true base 4 stock and dropped it and went back to Mobile 1. I think T6 is 100% base 4 now but I never went back to it. It's a fine oil and a couple of dollars cheaper per gallon.
I'm sure Havoline oils are fine as well as any of the major brands. Each has their little tweak on the formulation for one reason or another but just stay with the API certification and you'll be good.
API CK-4 is authorized to use in the 6.7s. On the Motorcraft website they have a list of authorized CK-4 oils.
It's interesting that Ford is picking and choosing specific formulations and have yet to just come out and say CK-4 is OK. They put out a release a couple of months ago that said they were going to make a statement by April. I haven't heard anything to the contrary and am looking forward to it.
I'm definitely hesitant on the CK-4. Ford found that in initial tests, that it did not provide adequate protection for wear surfaces. I'm waiting for this to shake out.

What did you pay for the gallon jugs of Mobile 1, if you don't mind me asking?

Ford is picking and choosing different formulations just as you and I would pick different oils to use in our trucks. Not all oils are made the same.
They were $26 each at Walmart. On my way back from SLC a few weeks ago I hit three stores and took all they had. I ended up with 18 gallons.
So $6.50 a quart. I'm getting Motorcraft Full Syn 5W40 for $35 per 5 quart jug, so $7.00 per quart. I figure regardless of CK, CJ, Cwhatever ratings, the Motorcraft stuff must be good to go. Does that sound reasonable?

That's a great price on the Motorcraft oil. It's been a long time since I looked at them but there used to be a hefty upcharge getting it from the dealer. I'm pretty sure that all the engine development is done using this oil so it's safe to say that Ford would approve of that.
