gear selector column only?

Coming from an 04 Fx4 with shifter in front of the console. all pics I see of 250's show it only on the column. that the only option?

Yep. The gear selector is only available on the column.

While it's an old way to do it, it really gives you a ton of usable space in the console area.

Just being honest. That's where a shifter for a truck belongs. And yes you get some cool storage or tons of cup holders

The console shifts always feel cheap too, and they are far too big (and a 92FS fits fine in my hand). Honestly there is nothing appealing about a console shift in a Ford truck.

I agree. Console shifts look nice. Column shifts are utilitarian, which is much better for someone who works in their truck. My vehicle is a mobile office...

What he said. It's a work truck, not a pretty, Keeping up with the Joneses, suburbia crawler...although lord knows you see more and more of that these days.
