Hi guys I'm putting in a remote starter keyless entry in my 2000 f150 I have all the wires figured out except for the remote start part. Could anyone lead me in the right path of were the wires listed in the photo go? I do have the module required
Look at the list of 10 connections and think.
What you are doing is paralleling the truck's ignition switch so the remote module can perform the same as if you were in the truck operating the ignition switch from Run to Crank and back to Run again.
For example pins 2, 6 and 7 deal with the starter so the motor can be cranked.
Pins 3,4,5 power the ignition and fuel injection etc.
It's just following the requirements for the PCM to be powered up, power to the coils and fuel injectors and the cranking/release function.
You really need to have a good understanding of this because when/if there is a future issue you have some idea what function to check out.
Good luck.
