Upfitter 5 and 6 are 40 amp circuits. The others are 25 amp. If you have items with a high amp draw you wish to install you might want to save 5 and 6 for that. Two 6 diode LED's would be well under 25 amps. On the other hand, 5 and 6 can be set to be always on and not affected by the key status.
Yes, it's kind of a shame to use a 40 amp circuit for something draws so few amps. My thinking there is that I could use the lights when setting up camp and such when I won't have the truck running. I also like the position on the end as it would be easy to flip on when backing in particularly dark places. What I really wish is that roll bars were still in style. Now that was the place to mount lights.
Maybe more light will help but maybe it will make it worse to even see the red and green lines on the rear view camera as they are much duller than previous generations to begin with. The brighter lights may bring in more grainy picture. Don't know for sure just thinking out loud. I am going to have my dealer look at mine next week just to get in on record that I don't like the image.

Was your dealer able to provide you any help. Mine said this was the first they have heard of this issue.
While on the subject of cameras....I had my front camera in the grill replaced Tuesday. At 1000 miles it got water inside and eventually went completely black...no image at all. Dealer said mine was the first and only he's heard about and replaced. They did have to order it from Ford. Took about 3 weeks.

Taking it in on Monday. Using it last night not only is the clarity pretty bad overall but it is almost impossible to see the red, green and black lines. That is just, if not more annoying than the clarity as using the markers greatly enhances the ease of backing up or backing up to a trailer coupler.
Dealer called today. Said they put truck in a very dark room and concurred with my assessment that the back up camera has a poor image, too much distortion and a lot of snowflakes. However, they also said the front camera is just as bad. They have a ticket into Ford to see what the problem is as they feel having the issue on both cameras would be odd vs some type of interference, wiring etc.
This is certainly better news than the canned answer of "this is normal". I now hope there is a fix or new cameras or something that actually improve the quality.
Keep us updated! Hopefully there is fix (software??) with sync to address this! Clearly the screen is capable of detailed clear images as it is super clear/detailed when the camera is not on.
Yes, even though my dealers feels the image is crap for this truck I bet Ford will say we don't have any reported problems and therefore it is what it is. Hopefully will know something tomorrow.
This has been in the back of my mind. I just reread this thread and a comment was made that compared the backup camera to going from a 1080p to a 480i resolution. So I clipped a frame from the Weigh Safe video and low and behold, it shows exactly that. You can see the inset frame is from a 1080p Sony handycam and the full frame is from the screen in the truck (shot by the handycam so there is some loss there). You also need to factor in that this single frame is captured via Windows Snipping Tool so factor that in as well. The view in real time with your own eyes doesn't have this double loss.
Just to bring up the comparison again, is this what everyone else sees when they backup? Is this the same quality everyone is getting? I had no reason to complain as I just accepted that the built-in cam would not be the same quality as a true 1080p camera. See below:
I have only used my OEM backup camera to see how far I have pulled into the garage. I don't think mine looks as good as yours does. I'm not trying to read a book through the camera, but I do think the picture/video quality is poor.
So maybe there is something to the theory that there is a second generation camera that is lower quality. My truck was built on October 13. It would be interesting to see a comparison picture from one of the trucks in question.
I think most that had previous trucks, and I'm only comparing 2009 and 2012, can attest to the quality loss.
As HRTKD pointed out he doesn't "want to read a book"... on my other trucks I COULD read a book and any fine print in said book.
This cam is awful compared to previous.
Epic can you get a pic of something behind your truck in the camera tonight. I will get one from my xlt that i purchased beginning of October.
Here are some sun set pictures. First is my iPhone 7 pushed up next to tailgate camera, second is zoomed out and third is zoomed in through truck. All pictures taken with iPhone.
