They're way better than the much hyped hydro boost brakes on my 2011.

No issue with mine either. Just came across the pass and got a chance to test them when some idiot in a Subaru pulled out in front of me as he was leaving the ski resort. Stomped on them hard but got close enough to his bumper that he'll forever remember those LED running lights 😳

Strong and smooth braking.

Compared to what? My 2017 F-350 will stop faster than my 2007 Nissan Titan that has brakes that were replaced within the last 10k miles.

My brakes great, I haven't had to really panic stop, but I get the impression they are great from experience. Maybe complaining about non hydro boost version IDK, but mine is super good in this department.

Not good at all. More Brake dust than my 2011, plus drove 20 miles towing my Airstream, went to car wash to wash it and sprayed the wheels and the stream was insane...super hot.

Level roads, not much city driving.
12,000 miles currently.

I always appreciated the pedal feel of a good hydroboost setup like GM uses on their gas HD trucks. Not sure why Ford hasn't embraced something similar for their gas motors SD.

As as for above poster complaining about dust, that's a telltale of an an aggressive friction compound.

i find you have to apply a bit harder but you can easily stop real fast but at a high cost of your pads! i find my self turning on my exhaust brakes to help save the pads when coming to a off ramp or anything high speed

I have 1600 miles on mine and normal stop and go braking seems ok. However under hard braking like a light changing and trying to stop the brakes seem to fade. I have a 2016 Chevy 2500( gas) as well and it brakes very well in all conditions. Just curious if changing out the pads will help at all?

Brakes on my truck are great. My old 2003 GMC had the ceramic brake pads. Way less stopping power. Always felt like there wasn't enough brake. That said, the pads lasted forever. The fronts were still factory original when I sold the truck with 250,000 miles on it. That said, I'll take the Ford brakes any day over the GMC. Probably go through pads faster, but much more braking authority.
