I have a '95 Bronco and I am replacing the passenger side headlamp lens "box" which has hazed over (I previously replaced the driver's side because it was cracked).
I was thinking of upgrading the bulbs from the current GE 9007XL HB5 bulbs, to the following bulbs:
SYLVANIA 9007 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulbs
But I have also read here of a relay upgrade kit for the headlamp wiring.
Will the relay kit provide more light with the existing bulbs than just upgrading bulbs alone? (I must stay with halogen because I drive in the snow and the bulb's heat is necessary to melt the snow off the headlamp lens.)
Anybody have a link to the relay kit? Any other suggestions?
I went with Philips crystal vision ultras last time. They have the blue tip. I think they are brighter and more pure white than the Sylvania silverstars. less money too. I also installed the aftermarket relay headlight harness kit and I am very pleased with the result. Maybe it's my imagination but it seems like the lights are even brighter since adding the relays.
