F350, 360. Should I get ones for a 4WD? Flowtech has some cheap ones at Summit with 5/16 flange (12542FLT). Not going for anything but 'works'. This thing gets low usage, is not a hot-rod and will feed directly into a couple of cheap mufflers with a pair of turn downs.

I seems theirs always some little problem when going with headers.
If you can remember to check the header bolts every other oil change then they should hold up for a good number of yrs.
Lock bolts are a key thing keeping headers & oem exh. manifold bolts tight.
If you have a good set of old oem exhaust manifold logs then, I'd stay with those.
The cheapie sets will rust off the truck before you get enough use out of them. Sitting around does nothing good for them(unless you step up to coated headers). Plus the blown out gasket issue.
If you have bad manifolds, look at fixing them up and a cheap Y pipe will get you quiet again.
Definitely go with locking header bolts like Stage 8 brand. They are a pain to get right the 1st time but once you do you will NEVER get a blown header gasket. And Never have to touch them with a wrench ever again.
2X JEFFFAFA"s comments, and I would paint them with VHT primer and paint. That should help them last much longer- That's what I'm going to do too!
Is there some kind of extension tube with a paint spray nozzle on the end that someone could use to spray high temp paint in the "inside" of the Header tubes?
I don't know if they would work or not, but what about the extensions that are for 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus 08852? I saw another one that has a 360 deg spray head for the extensions.
www.KBS-coatings.com, in their cavity wax dept, they have a 360 deg spray head (looks like it's made out of brass- sorry I couldn't copy the picture):

Good Job Gary.
Here you go Rasputin. If you buy cheapie non-coated headers, use this to spray high temp paint on their insides. Help fight that dreaded rust.
